IBA HEALTH SOLUTION MEETS THEIR NEEDS…
Silver Chain was able to change a paper based system to a fully electronic solution based on the new Sony Ericsson Smart Phone technology.

Nurses can now subscribe to the clients they are assisting and have information at the point of care such as full client details, referrals, diagnosis, alerts, contacts and services downloaded to the Sony Ericsson Smart Phone.
Information such as assessment details and wound care information can be recorded in real time at the point of care. Staff in the field also have the ability to electronically receive and submit their daily timesheets resulting in less manual data entry. “The savings in timesheet data entry are estimated to be over $150,000 per annum” said Alan Turner - General Manager Information management Silver Chain.
The IBA Health application on the Sony Ericsson Smart Phone solution has delivered cost savings, streamlined business processes and improved care delivery.
“IBA Health’s wound management application provides for a new wound data base across community and aged care settings which will provide valuable data for predicting prevalence and incidence of wounds within Silver Chain as well as other research projects.”
